A car and a propane truck collided on South Banker near Austin Avenue Wednesday morning, closing Banker to through traffic. No injuries were reported.

The collision damaged the truck's fuel tank, causing diesel fuel to spill onto the roadway and closing the northbound lanes of Banker. Effingham Fire Department crews used a substance that mixes with water to contain the spilled fuel, but the northbound lanes were closed until mid-morning.
