A Mason resident has been sentenced to prison on counts of possession of a stolen vehicle and aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer.

24-year-old Skylar Roley was sentenced to three years in prison on the possession of stolen vehicle and two years in prison on the aggravated fleeing charge. The sentences will run consecutively, not together. Roley will serve one year mandatory supervised release once out of prison.

Roley was one of four people arrested in June as part of a multi-county ATV/motorcycle theft conspiracy. The Effingham County, Clay County, Shelby County, Cumberland County and Coles County Sheriff's Departments and the Effingham City Police Department worked together on the investigation.

The cases of the other three defendants are yet to be resolved.
