A Cowden man was sentenced Wednesday to four years in prison for aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

52-year-old Anthony Leroy Meadows was charged in July with the abuse, which occurred in May at a local business. The victim, who was 20 at the time of the incident, deals with intellectual disabilities.

Meadows will serve one year mandatory supervised release once out of prison. He was also fined $100 plus court assessments, and must undergo testing for sexually transmitted diseases.

The victim's family was in agreement with the plea.
