An autopsy of the body of a man found dead in the Little Wabash River on Saturday might be of some help as to the identity of the man.

Effingham County Coroner Kim Rhodes said authorities still don't know the cause of death of the man, but the pathologist who performed the autopsy is continuing to work on the case.

Rhodes said they were successful in recovering some partial fingerprints, some dental work, and some DNA from the body. She also plans to release photos of some of the tattoos found on the body in hopes that could to someone identifying the individual.

The body was discovered by two people kayaking on the river Saturday afternoon. It was estimated the body could have been in the water for 10 to 12 days.
