SAMH Home Care Expands to Additional Counties

St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital Home Care is now offering services to residents in Coles, Crawford, and Wayne counties.  The Illinois Department of Public Health recently gave their approval to St. Anthony’s Home Care to expand their service area.  With the addition of these three new counties, St. Anthony’s now offers skilled health care to people in their home in 12 counties, which includes:

·         Clay

·         Clark

·         Coles (New)

·         Crawford (New)

·         Cumberland

·         Effingham

·         Fayette

·         Jasper

·         Marion

·         Richland

·         Shelby

·         Wayne (New)

The focus of home care is on the health needs of the individual in a family setting. Activities are directed toward helping patients to attain and maintain their highest level of independent living, and to help the family provide support. Efforts are also concentrated on the prevention of further disability, health teaching, and on appropriate referral to allied health professionals as needed.

Under the direction of the patient's physician, St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital Home Care’s skilled and compassionate staff can provide patients with the following services:

    Nursing Services – IV Therapy, Wound Care, Medication Management, etc.
    Telehealth Monitoring
    Physical and Occupational Therapy
    Speech Therapy
    Medical Social Work Services
    Home Health Aide Services
    Nurse On-Call 24 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week.
    Medical Nutrition Therapy
    Mother Baby Home Care Program
