Effingham Water Authority board members met to reorganize, and retained officers in their same posts.

Rob Brown will remain as chairman, Jim Boos as vice chairman and secretary, and Chris Kabbes as treasurer.

It was also decided to re-hire Water Authority personnel; Michael Dirks as Lake Superintendent, Susan Verdeyen as Office Manager, and Siemer Law as Water Authority attorney.

The Board also voted to grant 4% raises for all Water Authority personnel, excluding the board members.

At a separate meeting, the Water Authority discussed a water usage request from Kahn Kellams on property obtained by Kellams in a tax sale with a quit claim deed. The land should have moved into Kellams' possession via a lease, since it is Water Authority property. The Board voted to issue a lease to Kellams, who had requested water usage. That request was denied, but further action is expected once the lease to Kellams is finalized.
