Neoga school board members discussed facility needs and funding options at this month's meeting.

Superintendent Bill Fritcher said work needs done on the roof of their elementary school building. The work is projected to cost $1.4 million. P-TELL is in effect in Cumberland County so there are constraints over raising funding. The school sales tax is in place, and that provides about $170,000 per year.

Neoga board members set graduation for Saturday, May 15 at 2pm; discussed changing the school end time to 2:50pm; discussed requiring medical certification for remote learners; adopted a resolution reassigning a non-tenured teacher as a paraprofessional; employed Jamie Ballinger as a high school assistant volleyball coach; and employed Mark Jones as a junior high PE teacher.
