A Wisconsin man en route from Wisconsin to Florida was found dead in his camper in Effingham Friday morning.

Effingham Police Department and Abbott EMS received a call of an unresponsive individual at 2200 Historic Hills Drive at about 7:15am. Arriving officers found 60-year-old Daniel Worrell of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin in the bedroom of a camper pulled by a truck.

Effingham County Coroner Kim Rhodes said Worrell and his wife, Tana, had pulled off the interstate and parked in the area on Effingham's northeast side overnight.

Worrell was transported to the morgue at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. The Coroner's office is assisting Tana Worrell, and members of the Worrell family were headed to Effingham to help her take the truck and camper back to Wisconsin.

No foul play was involved, and Rhodes said the death appears to be due to natural causes.
