Teutopolis village board members heard from representatives of the Teutopolis for Tomorrow Bustling Economy committee at their recent meeting.

Ron Probst and Rich Hartke discussed a desire for property that could be developed both residentially and commercially. Probst and Hartke said they are looking for options on the south end of the village. Much of the developable land to the west is spoken for, so expansion to the south is being explored.

Board members also discussed sewer rates and changes to the sewer ordinance. The matter will be referred to the village attorney for consideration of raising rates.

The Board also reviewed bids for sidewalk installation in Phase One of Prairie View Subdivision, and whether to award a contract for the work. It was decided to table the issue until the Board's next meeting.

By the way, the next meeting of the Teutopolis Village Board will be the first in the new Village Hall along Main Street. The move into the new village hall was made this past Friday.
