Windsor school board members voted this week to make changes to the junior/senior high school course catalog.

One change was to incorporate the teaching of Illinois History into the district's Civics course, while the other was to change the name of the sophomore General Science course to Physical Science. The Board also decided to continue allowing early graduation if the potential graduate has sufficient credits.

Board members also voted to continue allowing teachers who teach in the district but live outside the district permission to enroll their children in the Windsor district, tuition-free.

Windsor board members approved installing air-conditioner units in the elementary office and the high school office from KCH Mechanical.

The Windsor board rehired Elementary Principal April Dake and Junior/Senior High School Principal Jennifer Bridges, both for the next two school years.

The Board also accepted Quinn Bennett's resignation as high school assistant softball coach; hired Tom Cole as district treasurer; approved Chris Dyer as 5th and 6th grade basketball coach, okayed Brian Lee as junior high boys basketball coach; and approved Lindsay Floyd as junior high volleyball coach and Bailey Leasher as assistant junior high volleyball coach. Also approved was a maternity leave for Whitney Babbs.

Windsor school board members also approved the settlement in a court case with a former student.
