75 New Positive COVID-19 Cases Over Weekend in County

Effingham County Health Department reported 75 new positive COVID-19 cases in the county from Saturday through Monday.
The cases included the COVID-related death of a man in his 80s.
There were 23 cases on Saturday, 25 cases on Sunday, and 27 cases on Monday.
The breakdown is as follows:
SATURDAY--
Males--one less than 10 years old, two teenagers, three in their 20s, one in his 30s, two in their 40s, two in their 60s, and one in his 70s
Females--two in their teens, two in their 20s, two in their 30s, two in their 40s, and three in their 50s
SUNDAY--
Males--two less than 10 years old, one teenager, two in their 30s, two in their 40s, one in his 50s, two in their 60s, and three in their 70s
Females--one less than 10 years old, one in her 20s, two in their 30s, two in their 40s, two in their 50s, one in her 60s, and three in their 80s
MONDAY--
Males--one less than 10 years old, one in his 20s, one in his 30s, four in their 40s, one in his 50s, four in their 60s, five in their 70s, and one in his 80s
Females--one less than 10 years old, one teenager, two in their 20s, one in her 40s, two in their 50s, and two in their 60s
Illinois Region 6 rolling test positivity was 9.4% through January 8, while Effingham County was 15.6% for the same period.
