Dieterich village officials tabled action this week on a Tax Increment Financing District agreement with John and Tammy Wright to alleviate drainage problems.

The project would help control flooding that occurs when storm water comes from along Illinois Route 33 onto the Wrights' pasture land, but also onto a village street near Liberty Memorial Park.

Action on the agreement was tabled due to a fence that needs dealt with as part of the project.

Dieterich officials were also reminded that bids are to be opened later this month on two other long-standing projects including other work in the area of Liberty Memorial Park and downtown beautification work to complement improvements already completed.

The Dieterich board also met in closed session to discuss a land sale, but no action followed in open session.
