A large shed was damaged in a fire Saturday morning fire. Teutopolis firefighters were called out at 6:23am Saturday morning to the Chuck Hartke farm, and arrived about ten minutes later to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the back of the 30x40 foot structure.

Firefighters worked quickly to keep the fire from spreading to another nearby barn. The shed was being used to shelter hay and sheep. None of the animals were injured in the fire, but the structure was heavily damaged.

The cause is considered to be electrical, and the investigation into the fire continues. Montrose Fire Department provided mutual aid at the scene.
