68 New Cases of COVID-19 in Effingham County Thursday

Effingham County's Health Department reported 68 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, and 4 additional deaths.

The COVID-related deaths of two men, one in his 70s, and one in his 80s, as well as the deaths of two women, one in her 90s, and one over 100 years old, are being investigated.

Positive case demographics are as follows:

The 7-day rolling test positivity rate for Region 6 is 12.1% through November 30, while Effingham County's numbers rose slightly to 22.2%, up from 21.9% for the same period.

Health officials continue to urge the public to follow safety guidelines to help reduce community spread of the virus.
