One Injured in Cumberland County Crash

One person was injured in a single-vehicle crash Friday night in Cumberland County.

Illinois State Police report a car driven by 21-year-old Joshua Reynolds of Kansas, Illinois was headed north on Illinois Route 49. The car left the roadway and struck a tree.

Reynolds was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened at 10:43pm, just east of Hazel Dell.

Reynolds was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash and improper lane usage.
