Unit 40 Board Acts on Several Personnel Matters

Effingham Unit 40 school board members Tuesday acted on several personnel matters at a special meeting.

The Board hired Kristine Whitley as a cafeteria monitor at South Side School and Katie Stewart as a paraprofessional.

Resignations were accepted from Donna Gadd as a cafeteria monitor at South Side, Dale Donaldson as a cafeteria monitor at the Early Learning Center, Jessica Mathis as a paraprofessional, Carol West as a cook, Richard Brown as a custodian, and Melanie Connell-Brown as a mentor facilitator at the junior high school.

Leaves were approved for Judith Wall and Aaron McDaniels.

The Board also expelled two students through the end of the first semester of the 2021-2022 school year, and referred the students to an alternative educational setting.
