The petitioners on requests to the Effingham City Zoning Board of Appeals got a split decision Tuesday night.

The Board granted a variance for an existing accessory building and the area where the building is located for Rickie and Linda Sulwer on their property at 806 South Rosewood Street. The Board, though, denied a request for a setback variance that would've allowed another accessory building on the property.

A request for variances for QuikTrip for their proposed location at 1320 North Third Street was postponed at QuikTrip's request until the Zoning Board of Appeals' November meeting.
