Statewide, the average temperature was 70.3 degrees, 1.0 degree below normal. Precipitation averaged 0.82 inches, 0.21 inches above normal.

Topsoil moisture supply was rated 13 percent very short, 44 percent short, and 43 percent adequate. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 10 percent very short, 37 percent short, and 53 percent adequate.

Corn dented was 86 percent compared to the 5-year average of 78 percent. Corn mature was 23 percent compared to the 5- year average of 29 percent. Corn condition was rated 3 percent very poor, 5 percent poor, 22 percent fair, 54 percent good, and 16 percent excellent.

Soybeans turning color was at 13 percent compared to the 5-year average of 33 percent. Soybeans dropping leaves was at 2 percent compared to the 5-year average of 11 percent. Soybean condition was rated 2 percent very poor, 5 percent poor, 22 percent fair, 55 percent good, and 13 percent excellent.
