Fayette County board members Tuesday approved a four-year contract with Platinum Technology Resource for election resources.

The contract renewal authorizes the firm to continue printing election ballots and performing other services for the county.

The Board reappointed Sean Hannagan as a trustee of the St. Elmo Fire Protection District for another three years and appointed Larry Emerick of rural Vandalia to the Public Building Commission.

Board members also approved a $250,000 transfer from the Capital Improvement Fund to the County General Fund to cover short-term expenditures.  The Board also approved the low bids for road maintenance materials and appropriated funds to pay the County Engineer's salary and expenses for the coming fiscal year.
