Subsoil moisture supply was rated at 5 percent very short, 18 percent short, 72 percent adequate, and 5 percent surplus.

Corn silking was at 36 percent compared to the 5-year average of 52 percent. Corn dough was at 1 percent, even with the 5-year average. Corn condition was rated at 3 percent very poor, 6 percent poor, 30 percent fair, 46 percent good, and 15 percent excellent.
