No New COVID-19 in Area Counties Wednesday; 828 Cases Statewide

No new cases of coronavirus disease were reported in area counties on Wednesday.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 828 new cases statewide. 30 deaths related to COVID-19 were reported statewide in the 24-hour period ending at 2pm Wednesday. More than 33,000 specimens were collected at Illinois laboratories during that 24-hour period. The percentage of positive cases from tests taken was just 2.6%.
