Positive COVID-19 Cases Below 1,000 on Monday in Illinois

The number of positive coronavirus disease cases in Illinois fell below 1,000 on Monday. 

974 cases were announced. There were just 23 additional deaths statewide, and 17 of those were in Cook County. There were no additional positive COVID-19 tests in area counties reported Monday.

Within the 24-hour period ending at 2pm Monday, there were 20,014 specimens at Illinois laboratories.
