2,758 New Cases of Coronavirus Disease Reported Friday

The Illinois Department of Public Health Friday reported 2,758 new positive cases of coronavirus disease. The report includes 110 additional deaths.

75 of the deaths were in Cook County.

No deaths were reported in any area counties.

Coles County Health Department Friday reported three more positive COVID-19 cases. The total confirmed positive COVID-19 cases from the county is 99, with eight currently hospitalized, 30 recovered, seven deceased, and 54 recovering. 

To date, the totals cases associated with Charleston Rehab and Healthcare is 55 confirmed cases. That number includes residents and employees.

The total number of positive cases statewide is 105,444. IDPH is also reporting 4,715 deaths.

The statewide seven-day rolling positivity rate is 13%.
