1,453 New Cases of Coronavirus Disease Reported Saturday in Illinois

The Illinois Department of Public Health Saturday announced 1,453 new cases of coronavirus disease in Illinois. 33 additional deaths were reported statewide.

23 of the deaths occurred in Cook County. There were three deaths in Kane County, two each in DuPage and Will Counties, and one each in Jackson, Kankakee and Lake Counties.

Lee, Mason and Pike Counties reported their first positive case, as did Jasper County, which we reported earlier.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 10,357 cases, including 243 deaths, in 68 counties in Illinois.
