The trial of the man charged with breaking in to a number of vehicles on the St. Anthony High School parking lot during the Thanksgiving basketball tournament has been delayed.

55-year-old David Carter of Hannibal, Missouri was due to go on trial on February 24, but the case Thursday was continued. A motion hearing will take place on March 5, a final pretrial hearing was set for March 12, and Carter's trial is now set to begin on March 23. The delay in the proceedings was charged to the defense.

Carter faces nine counts of burglary.
