Dieterich Board Discusses Fishing Pier

Dieterich village board members this week discussed options for a fishing pier at Liberty Memorial Park pond.

Village Clerk Brittny Gipson said the Board settled on the size of the pier, as well as where a parking area should be located. 

The pond will be drained to allow the work to proceed. While the pond is drained, the Board decided to dig it deeper and to work to repair the banks.

Also this week, the Dieterich board approved an ordinance with Ameren Illinois that extends the franchise between the Village and the utility for another 20 years.
