The Effingham County 911 Board Tuesday approved an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Effingham and with Effingham County. Under the agreement, 911 will pay the City and the County for the use of telecommunicators to also handle 911 calls.

Board members also approved a mutual agreement with county fire districts for allowing the departments access to the Spillman CAD System, and assigned new Secretary/Treasurer Wayne Rubach to have authority as a signee on 911 bank accounts, replacing former Secretary/Treasurer Jason McFarland, who plans to remain on the full board.

Effingham Assistant Fire Chief Matt Kulexa reported by phone that he is getting pricing on I AM responding access for county fire departments, so no action took place on that item. The Board also received its annual audit report from West and Company in Effingham, and 911 System Administrator Jodi Moomaw reported on the MABAS state conference in Bloomington and on powerphone EMD software that would cost just under $80,000.

911 Board Chairman Julie Stephens was not present for Tuesday's meeting so Vice Chairman Dave Campbell chaired the session.
