The City of Effingham Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced the winners of the 2019 Holiday Lights and Festive Sights competition. Voting concluded at noon Friday.

The Classic Christmas winner is the Larry and Darlene Logue home at 805 East Jefferson Avenue.

The Clark Griswold winner is the Chris Sloss family home at 113 East Mt. Vernon Avenue.

The Reason for the Season winner is the Kelly Lockhart family home at 115 East Mt. Vernon Avenue (right next door to the Griswold winner!)

The Business winner is Catching Glimpses 4D Ultrasound; they are donating their winnings to Crisis Nursery.

Effingham Tourism Director Jodi Thoele said she received almost 700 votes in the past week.

Each winner will receive $250 and a sign to be displayed in their yard through January 2, designating them as the winner of their category.

Thoele said, "Whether you nominated yourself or a friend, made the top three or just voted for your favorites, we appreciate you getting involved." She said they are already looking forward to next season's contest.
