The trial of a Mulberry Grove man has been scheduled for March.

Judge Kevin Parker Monday set a trial date of March 16, 2020 for David Bright. The 70-year-old Bright is charged with two counts of first degree murder in the September 2017 killing of James Skinner of rural Brownstown. Bright faces 20 years to life in prison for each count.

The trial has been delayed numerous times including when Bright was examined as to his fitness to stand trial. He is being held in Fayette County Jail in Vandalia under $1 million bond.

A motion to suppress possible evidence was set by Parker for the morning of December 10.
