California Man Injured in Semi Crash Sunday Morning

A Bakersfield, California man was injured in a semi crash just before 6am Sunday.

State police say the rig driven by 27-year-old Davinder Singh  was eastbound on I-70, seven miles east of Effingham, when the rig ran off the right side of the interstate and struck a guardrail. The rig then went down a steep embankment and came to rest when it struck the bottom of the ditch.

Singh was transported to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. He was cited for improper lane usage.
