Part of the sewage treatment process in most communities is the use of aerators.

The Teutopolis Village Board was advised at their recent meeting that new aerators are needed in the village system. Board members voted to purchase three submersible aerators to be used in sewage lagoons in the village. The three units were purchased from Vandeventer Engineering at a total cost of $44,931.

The purchase was not on the Board's agenda, but it was recommended that the Board go ahead with the acquisitions as soon as possible.
