More Candidate Filings on Monday

There were additional candidate filings in Effingham County later on Monday.

Republican incumbent John Niemerg filed for another term as Effingham County Circuit Clerk.

Two people filed as Republican candidates in County Board District I; the incumbent Joseph Thoele, as well Jeremy D. Deters.

The filing period continues through Monday, December 2. A reminder that the County Clerk's office, which handles local election filings, and the State Board of Elections Office in Springfield will both be closed this Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving break.
