Instrumental music is making a comeback in the North Clay school district.

North Clay board members Wednesday agreed to reinstate the North Clay Band Boosters. That follows work to familiarize interested students with instrumental music and giving them the opportunity to learn as a group. The band students performed at the Louisville Fall Festival, and attended the Marching Hearts Invitational band competition in Effingham in October.

The junior high band performed in October, and the grade school participated in the Kiddie Parade. Musician Macahlan Boney performed at the grade school.

Also Wednesday, North Clay board members accepted the audit of the past fiscal year's books and approved the school report cards from the State. The Board also accepted a tentative fiscal year tax levy with final action expected at the December meeting.

Following a closed session, North Clay board members hired Brad Anderson as a custodian, retroactive to November 4.
