An Oblong woman was fatally injured in a crash in Jasper County related to Monday's winter storm.

34-year-old Joy Gaddis was a passenger in a SUV driven by her fiancee Austin Brasfield of Robinson. Jasper County Sheriff's Department reports Brasfield's SUV was eastbound on Illinois Route 33 at North 2100th Street when the crash occurred at 2:45pm. Brasfield's vehicle collided with a westbound semi driven by 49-year-old Troy Jennings.

Gaddis and Brasfield were both taken for treatment to Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. Gaddis later died there from her injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
