Preliminary findings indicate the Monday death of Jonathan Wernsing was due to natural causes.

The 30-year-old Wernsing was found in his residence by a family member Monday evening and was pronounced dead by County Coroner Duane Guffey.

The coroner's office had earlier indicated that no foul play was suspected in Wernsing's death.  Preliminary results of an autopsy performed Tuesday indicate Wernsing died due to natural causes.  A final determination is pending the results of a final autopsy report and toxicology tests.

An investigation continues by the Coroner's Office and the Effingham Police Department.

Funeral information for Wernsing is located here.
