Program on Human Trafficking Scheduled in Effingham

The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce, HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, and the Effingham County Medical Society will be hosting a public information session on the topic of Human Trafficking, on November 7th at the Holiday Inn, located at 1301 Avenue of Mid-America, Effingham. This will include a powerful story from a survivor of human trafficking.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the event will begin at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

This session is intended to increase public awareness of the growing issue of Human Trafficking extending across the Country.

Presenters at the informational session will include Trish McKnight, Survivor/Advocate and CEO of Butterfly Dreams Alliance, NFP; Jason McFarland, Effingham Chief of Police; Annie Shoemaker, Director of Eden’s Glory, a restoration home for survivors of human trafficking and Nikki Quandt, Executive Director, Heartland Human Services.
