Effingham Location Not Involved in Taco Bell Beef Recall

Taco Bell has recalled seasoned beef from many of their locations after a customer found a metal shaving in the meat. Taco Bell's parent company, YUM Brands voluntarily issued the recall on Friday for approximately 2.3 million pounds of beef from its restaurants and distribution centers.

In a statement Tuesday, the company stated that "as of 9 a.m. PDT, Monday, October 14, 2019, 100 percent of the affected restaurants in 21 states across the eastern Midwest, northern Southeast and Northeast regions impacted have confirmed product has been removed and discarded."

States impacted by the recall include CT, DE, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, TN, VA, VT, WV and Washington, D.C.

We reached out to Effingham's Taco Bell and were told the Keller Drive location is not affected by the recall.
