No Plea in Trumbold Case in Fayette County

Tuesday's hearing in the Fayette County criminal case of Derek Trumbold was scheduled in part for a possible plea, but no plea was forthcoming. As a result, the case is moving toward a scheduled trial date of October 21.

The 27-year-old Trumbold is charged with aggravated domestic battery, as well as aggravated battery of a victim over age 60 and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Police reports indicate Trumbold allegedly struck a family member during an incident in July.

If found guilty, the Ramsey resident could receive up to seven years in prison.
