Motorcycle Rider Injured on Althoff Drive Tuesday

Two motorcyclists traveling together on Althoff Drive in Effingham were involved in a collision Tuesday morning.

Effingham Police Chief Jason McFarland said the incident occurred at 11:05am near Patterson Companies. McFarland said the cycles were operated by Marshall Boyle and Jessica Boyle, both of Terre Haute, Indiana. 

The two cyclists tried to turn off Althoff Drive and the one cycle struck the other. Marshall Doyle was injured in the collision and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

No citations were issued.
