Another delay in the start of a trial for a Fayette County man charged with injuring his wife.

50-year-old Gregory Hill is accused of aggravated domestic battery and of attempted murder. Hill is accused of injuring his wife in August of 2017 when he allegedly threw her to the floor, causing a spinal cord injury that resulted in paralysis.

The case had been scheduled to begin Monday after a delay earlier this year, but prosecutors Thursday asked for another delay following rulings by trial judge Kevin Parker. The rulings involved items that could have gone before the jury. Once the judge made his rulings Thursday, and following a telephone conference involving the judge and attorneys involved in the case Friday morning, prosecutors asked for a vacating of the trial date. Instead, the start of the trial is now scheduled for November 18, with a pre-trial on any other pending motions planned on October 15.
