Motorcycle Crash Near Beecher City

State police report the crash occurred at 1:14pm on Illinois Route 128 northbound from Illinois Route 33, just west of Beecher City.
The report indicates a cycle operated by 61-year-old Randy James of Shelbyville turned northbound onto Route 128 from Route 33. Police say a significant amount of an unknown liquid, possibly diesel fuel, was on the roadway, making it slippery.
James lost control of the cycle, overturned, and came to rest in the roadway. He was injured and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
No citations were issued.
