A Cumberland County man who pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter has been sentenced to prison.

33-year-old Thomas Hills of Toledo Wednesday was sentenced to 4-1/2 years in prison for his role in the death in October 2018 of Zachary Yocum of Toledo. Yocum was found injured at his home. He was taken to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Coles County, where he died.

Hills pleaded guilty to the involuntary manslaughter count in July in exchange for dismissal of a Class X felony count of home invasion that would have involved a lengthier prison term, had he been found guilty.
