Members of the Effingham County Economic Development Advisory Board and Grants Committee met Tuesday and discussed an upcoming agreement with a business known as Two Guys Pallet.

As Advisory Board Chairman Dave Campbell put it, one of the two guys wants out, so the Board is working with the remaining partner in the enterprise to facilitate the change in ownership.

In a review of economic development activity, it was shared that Golden Corral will be locating in Effingham, likely sometime after the first of the year.

Golden Corral will be locating in the former Ryan's Family Steak House location next door to Menard's, and is a similar buffet meal style operation.

Campbell also reported that the Advisory Board has approximately $27,900 available to lend to new or expanding businesses in the county.
