Gamers rejoice! Fortnite is the number one game in the country with tournaments popping up all over. This year the Du Quoin State Fair will host one of those tournaments with players competing each day for prizes.

“Ultimate Gaming Championships came to us and asked if we would want to host a tournament during the fair and right away the answer was yes,” said Josh Gross, Du Quoin State Fair Manager. “I knew it would be a big draw for fairgoers and something we have never done before.”

The tournament will take place each day of the fair from open to close inside of the Second Heat Building on the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds. The tournament will be open play, meaning first come, first served each day. Ten machines will be running with ten players able to play at a time. Once a player is beat they will have to leave their seat allowing for the next player to compete.

At the end of each day the top scorer from that day will take home a prize. Two grand prizes, a 50-inch tv and a gaming chair will be given out to the tournament’s top scorers.

There are two price options to participate in the Du Quoin State Fair Fortnite Tournament. A $20 entry will get you unlimited play for the whole eleven days of the fair, while $5 will get you unlimited play per day.

The Du Quoin State Fair runs August 23rd-September 2nd.
