Several Accidents in Effingham

Effingham Police have reported on several accidents with in the city of Effingham.

On Saturday, July 13 at 7:35 P.M. at the intersection of Keller and Evergreen a vehicle driven by Bridgit M. Boyt, 32 of Effingham, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Tina A. Goss,41, of Effingham.

A passenger in Goss’ vehicle, Isayah D. Goss, 17 of Effingham, sustained injuries and was transported by private vehicle to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for treatment. 

Boyt was ticketed for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

On Tuesday July 16 at 1:11 P.M. at the intersection of Banker and Walk a vehicle driven by William R. Nuxoll, 74 of Effingham, pulled into the path of and was struck by a vehicle driven by Kristina Rivera, 21 of Oswego. No injuries occurred in the accident. 

Nuxoll was ticketed for Failure to Yield. Rivera was ticketed for Driving While License Suspended. 

On Wednesday July 17 at 7:21 A.M. at the intersection of Merchant and Temple a vehicle driven by Richard A. Patterson, 72, Effingham, pulled into the path of and was struck by a vehicle driven by Glori L. Magnus, 56, St. Peter. The impact caused Patterson’s vehicle to strike a third vehicle driven by Michelle R. Niebrugge, 37, Teutopolis. No injuries. 

Patterson was ticketed for Failure to Yield.

On Friday July 19 at At 5:42 P.M. at the intersection of Jefferson and 2nd a vehicle driven by Elizabeth E. Yager, 37, Effingham, pulled into the path of a motorcycle operated by Trenton D. Miller, 23, Effingham, causing Miller to lay the motorcycle down before skidding into Yager’s vehicle. Miller was injured but refused treatment. 

Yager was ticketed for Failure to Yield.

Then at 5:54 P.M. west of the intersection of Fayette and Maple a vehicle driven by Stephanie L. Mercer, 40 of Effingham, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Veal Cardiesse, 37 of Effingham. Cardiesse sustained injuries but refused treatment.

Mercer was ticketed for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
