Two Injured in Single Vehicle Accident

An accident with injuries occured at 3:55 Friday afternoon on the I-57 southbound exit ramp in Neoga.

A vehicle driven by Kimesha Clayborn, 28 of East Chicago, Indiana was southbound on I-57 exiting at Neoga. As Clayborn was approaching the stop sign at the end of the exit ramp she failed to stop and went through the intersection and off the right side of entrance ramp to I-57 into the ditch.

Kimesha Clayborn and a passenger, Destiny Clayborn, 18 of South Holland Illinois, were both transported by ambulance to Sarah Bush hospital in Champaign for treatment of their injuries.

Kimesha Clayborn was charged with Disobeying a Traffic control device, Driving while license is suspended, Operating a vehicle without insurance, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, and Using a wireless communication device while operating a vehicle.
