A tentative agreement on a contract was reached Tuesday by bargainers for the Unit 40 Board of Education and the Effingham Educational Support Professionals Association.

No details on the agreement are available yet.

Unit 40 Superintendent Mark Doan said Wednesday morning the next step is to verify all language and financial information so ratification votes can be taken in the near future. EESPA Spokesman Amy Donaldson confirmed that a tentative agreement is in place and that meetings of both the Board and the Association membership would be scheduled for ratification votes.

Doan said the agreement is "the culmination of a lot of hard work from many individuals."
