Two Teens Injured in Crash Monday Evening

Two teenagers were injured in a crash Monday evening near Altamont.

The crash happened at 5:55pm on US Route 40, a half-mile west of 500th Street.

Effingham County sheriff's deputies report an eastbound vehicle driven by 41-year-old Krista Stine of Farina failed to see a westbound vehicle driven by 17-year-old Nevaeh Blair of Altamont and turned off the highway into a business parking lot and struck the Blair vehicle.

Blair was injured, along with a passenger, 17-year-old Cameron Stanley of Altamont. Blair and Stanley were both transported to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
