Personnel Moves Dominate Action by North Clay Board

Personnel moves dominated the action taken at Wednesday's North Clay school board meeting.

The Board approved a leave of absence for Janell Farleigh; accepted the resignation of Larry Northrop as bus driver as of the end of the school year; hired Kayla Anderson as a cook for the coming school year; and hired Jim Sapp and Ricky Woods as sub bus drivers for the coming school year.

The Board hired Lisa Pike as junior high Science teacher, hired Chad Traub as Technology Coordinator, and hired Corie Cowsert as high school assistant volleyball coach. Board members accepted the resignation of Barry Adair as junior high girls basketball coach but retained him as a volunteer. The Administration was granted authority to hire a band and music teacher, a custodian and a junior high Math teacher. 

Board members accepted the resignation of Kim Harrison as junior high Track coach and accepted the resignation of Lindsey Wendling as a first grade teacher.

The Board discussed adding athletic training services through Wabash General Hospital with more discussion planned at the June meeting, and reviewed athletic handbook changes with more discussion planned in June. Board members also voted to increase substitute teacher pay to $110/day for the coming school year, and approved increases in athletic officials pay as was presented.
