Altamont school board members have reorganized in the wake of the April election.

Alan Kollman, Kerry Wolff, Dane Milleville and Shelly Kuhns were sworn in to four-year terms. Gary Goldstein was recognized for his 12 years' service on the Board. Goldstein did not seek re-election.

Shelly Kuhns was re-elected Board President, Kerry Wolff was chosen vice-president and Alan Kollman was elected Board secretary.

Ross Cornett and Alan Kollman were named to the Altamont Education Foundation board, Darren Feldkamp and Kerry Wolff were named to the Student-Teacher-Parent Advisory Board, and Darren Feldkamp and Dane Milleville were named the Altamont representatives to the Eastern Illinois Area Special Education Board, with Shelly Kuhns named the alternate.

The Board agreed that the officers will serve two years, awarded a bid for a swingset at Altamont Grade School to Hutchinson for $26,500; awarded the bid for concrete work to S&K Concrete for $7,934; awarded the fuel bid to The Equity; and discussed an amended fiscal year budget, which will be posted in the Unit office for public review and more consideration at the Board's June 10 meeting.
